SRA's technical direction comes from Mr. Tim Smey, CEO and President. Mr. Smey's entire career has been in the roofing industry. Working first as a contractor, he experienced field conditions first-hand. He learned of the gap between roofing system material suppliers and roofing contractors. He worked as a technical representative for an international supplier of roofing materials and an innovator in single-ply roofing systems. For several years, he provided contractor training services, warranty inspection services, and other field services throughout the country. Since then, Mr. Smey is providing consulting services including field evaluation, design services, and field inspections. He is licensed and experienced in operating nuclear and infrared test equipment and, more importantly, is seasoned in the interpretation and evaluation of the test results.

Mr. Furman is a skilled technician providing technical specification development, inovative design and evaluation services. Mr. Furman received formal drafting training. He has accumulated roofing construction experience including installation of single-ply systems. He has been employed by a major fabricator of roofing fasteners. Over a period of several years he has developed excellent evaluation procedures utilized by SRA in evaluating roofing systems. Mr. Furman has also been instrumental in establishing basic design and construction management procedures for use by SRA. He is licensed and experienced in operating nuclear and infrared test equipment.

Mr. Thomas has been in the roof consulting industry for the past twenty years. He has performed roof evaluations and moisture surveys for industrial, institutional and commercial clients throughout the United States and Canada. Primary duties include roof evaluations, design recommendations, specification development, project management and quality control inspections. Mr. Thomas also oversees the scheduling of the quality control inspectors for SRA.

Mr. Smey oversees the managerial responsibilities and day-to-day business operations of SRA's New England Regional Office. He also is the project manager and main contact for all of SRA's clients in the Northeastern United States.
